Seminar Objectives-Participants will be provided a framework for Guided Math Instruction
-Participants will understand how to make connections to the 8 Mathematical Standards of Practice
-Participants will utilize student data and research to form classroom math groups for small group instruction
Assessment of Learning-Participants used data and research provided to form student groupings
-Participants examined a classroom lesson and identified how to incorporate this into a Workshop Model approach
-Participants completed a self-assessment survey
Seminar Topics-Presented the SCDN Workshop Model with Guided Math and daily 3 models embedded in the content
-Participants learned how to incorporate the 8 Standards of Mathematical Practice
-Participants learned the conditions and benefits for Guided Math instruction
-Participants learned problem-solving strategies to use with their students
-Participants used the afternoon to focus on creating an implementation plan for their classroom

Evaluation SummaryComments: -Participants learned what Guided Math/Workshop model is -Participants learned how to access available resources to incorporate into the guided math structure -Participants explored multiple options for grouping students using a guided math structure Still need: -Participants would like to visit a guided math classroom within the region -Possibly a Fillmore classroom recommended by Kathleen Agnello -Participants would like a make and take day to start building centers for the 1st grade math standards Action plans: -Start to build one learning center a week and begin to experiment with 102 guided math groups a week -explore resources shared and become familiar with the guided math structure for the 2019-2020 school year
