Seminar Full DescThis workshop is designed to provide PreK-12th grade teachers an opportunity to work collaboratively to support classroom learning and engagement for students who are impacted by poverty. In this workshop, participants will learn what research reveals about the connection between poverty, student behavior, and academic performance. Participant discussion will focus on instructional strategies that can be used to increase academic achievement and attendance while addressing the unique needs of students living in poverty. Teachers will participate an intensive two part book study "Poor Students, Rich Teaching-Mindsets for Change" by Eric Jensen.
