Seminar Short Desc | Teachers will receive kit-specific training on the Advancing STEM kits for their grade level. This training is scheduled to feature 2 of the 4 kits titled: Weather Around the World: Data Trends, Water Cycle, Hazards and Forced to Stick With It: Motion and Magnetism. |
Seminar Full Desc | Participants will dig into the 5E Model and NYS Science Learning Standards, including the three dimensions, performance expectations, and engineering design aspects. The curriculum kits will be introduced and activities will be discussed and some performed using the 5E model. Additional activities will be done to apply the model and three dimensions for each of the activities. Participants will leave understanding the structure of their grade level kit, hints and tips for teaching, the 5E Model, and engineering design process. |
