Seminar Short DescNot set
Seminar Full DescHow do we design Integrated Performance Assessment? Students often learn and are assessed in limited contexts with highly predictable or forced choice items that hinder proficiency goals. This professional learning opportunity will guide teachers on task development in the three modes of communication of the World Readiness standards. These tasks are designed to learning to engage critical thinking skills, intercultural competence, and to solve problems and create products of value beyond the classroom. This hands-on design day will guide teachers to develop performance-based assessment tasks with the communicative modes and write "Can Do" self-assessment statements for each mode. Participants will have a gallery walk of tasks and receive feedback, ready for pilot implementation in their classrooms. Participants will take part in surveys before and after the live professional development
