Seminar Short Desc | Teachers will learn about the contents of an Engineering is Elementary (EiE) Kit and the format each kit follows. |
Seminar Full Desc | Teachers will explore the four lessons upon which each Engineering is Elementary (EiE) Kit is based. Lesson 1 introduces the engineering problem through a story. Lesson 2 provides background knowledge about the specific type of engineering involved. Lesson 3 allows students to explore the materials in scientific experiments that relate to the problem. Lesson 4 engages students in designing a solution using previous lessons to guide their decisions. Teachers will also learn about technology and engineering definitions that are important for students as well. |
