Seminar Short DescSaint Bonvaventure University and CA BOCES invite K-12 teachers to the 4th annual lab development workshop on SBU campus to design integrative STEM activities to make learning relevant.
Seminar Full DescSBU faculty from biology, chemistry, physics, computer science, and psychology will facilitate a summer institute for teachers to develop integrative STEM activities for student learning.

Seminar Topics, Concepts & ResourcesSTEM
Seminar ObjectivesBring K-12 science teachers, school administrators and SBU science faculty together for a continuing discussion on bridging the gap between K-12 and college STEM education. Any challenges recognized from the discussion can lead to opportunities for networking and new partnerships between K-12 schools and SBU math and science departments and/or between K-12 schools for both short-term and long-term purposes.

Provide a hands-on experience for K-12 teachers to develop integrative lessons. These activities are designed to be transferable to K-12 classroom to provoke student interests and increase their preparations in the STEM field that is in high demand.
