Seminar Full DescCA BOCES will implement the following during the June 2018 regional scoring of New York State Regents Examinations:
Each examination will be scored at a single location.
We will implement expedited scoring that will place preference on next day scoring when possible.
Comprehensive English, Common Core English, Global History & Geography, and US History & Government will all be scheduled for two days. The second day may or may not be used, but all scorers should plan on two days.
Teachers will be identified as subject-certified or as content teachers (e.g., a teacher currently teaching Global is a content teacher; a teacher teaching 7th grade social studies is a subject-certified teacher). During scoring, content teachers will serve as scorers, but also as advisors for subject-certified teachers.
Teacher leaders will again be used for training the content portions of each examination.
The cost of January scoring will be $1.00 per test.
Scoring is run through COSER 529 and is eligible for substitute reimbursement.
