| Seminar Objectives | -Increase understanding of New York State and IDEA requirements for IEP development.
-Identify the essential components of a high-quality, legally compliant IEP. -Write Present Levels of Performance (PLEPs) that accurately describe student strengths, needs, and the impact of the disability using multiple sources of data. -Develop measurable annual goals aligned to identified student needs. -Differentiate between accommodations, modifications, and specially designed instruction (SDI). -Ensure alignment among evaluation data, PLEPs, annual goals, SDI, accommodations, and progress monitoring. -Strengthen participants' confidence and consistency in writing educationally meaningful IEPs. |
