-Participants found it valuable to unpack and develop a deeper understanding of the six Portrait of a Graduate competencies, particularly through the activity that asked them to put each competency into their own words. The deeper learning exercises and Consensogram activity also supported reflection, discussion, and connections to their own practice. Participants appreciated learning more about the new graduation and assessment requirements and how these changes connect to the Portrait of a Graduate. |
| Needed Changes | -Participants would benefit from additional work time to explore how the Portrait of a Graduate can be applied to their own curriculum, projects, and instructional practices. |
| Next Steps | -Participants indicated plans to bring the learning back to their districts and collaborate with colleagues to continue exploring the Portrait of a Graduate competencies. They plan to identify at least one small adjustment or enhancement to an existing project or unit that incorporates the competencies and deeper learning practices. Participants also recognized the importance of seeking administrative support to help move this work forward within their districts. |
