In this learning opportunity, participants will learn the fundamentals of PBL including key components such as student voice and choice, driving questions, assessment in PBL, and managing a project.

Seminar Topics, Concepts & Resources-The Creating PBL Experiences provided educators with a hands-on opportunity to design and refine project-based learning experiences using the PBLWorks (Buck Institute) framework. Participants, ranging from beginners to experienced practitioners, engaged in guided planning to develop strong driving questions, map out clear project pathways, and incorporate strategies that enhance student engagement and support effective classroom management. Throughout the day, emphasis was placed on embedding meaningful formative assessments to monitor student progress and ensure mastery of content by the end of each project. Collaboration and resource sharing allowed participants to strengthen their project designs and leave with practical, standards-aligned plans ready for classroom implementation.

Seminar Objectives-Participants will be able to design a clear and compelling driving question that aligns with standards and promotes student inquiry.
-Participants will develop a structured project pathway using PBLWorks resources to guide students from launch to final product.
-Participants will identify and embed engagement and classroom management strategies to support productive, student-centered learning environments.
-Participants will integrate formative assessment practices throughout a project to monitor progress and provide timely feedback.
