Seminar Full DescThe Individualized Education Program (IEP) ensures that, in accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), every student has access to a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE). This training will provide a comprehensive overview of IEPs and develop the skills needed to write educational plans that specifically address the unique strengths and challenges of each student. Topics explored will include summarizing present levels of performance, writing measurable goals, identifying accommodations and modifications, progress monitoring, data interpretation, and reporting progress.

-Identify the essential components of a legally compliant and instructionally sound IEP.
-Write clear, data-informed Present Levels of Educational performance (PLEPs).
-Develop SMART, standards-aligned annual goals that directly address student needs.
Work Summary-Review strong vs. weak IEP examples.
-Learn key IEP components through short lessons.
-Revise IEP samples and created new goals/ services in small groups.
-Use a self-check rubric and completed a personal action plan.
Assessment of Learning-Observed participation in case study and revision tasks.
-Self-assessment using an IEP quality rubric.
-Exit ticket with SMART goal and SDI identification.
