Work Summary-Participants will learn how the four key skills to build comprehension - inferencing, summarizing, identifying the main idea and self-monitoring, translate to writing across all content areas. By the end of the session educators will be equipped to integrate these skills into their writing instruction enhancing students' overall comprehension and writing abilities
-Educators will explore various strategies such as Think/Read Alouds, Turn and Talk, Explicit Vocabulary work, Jigsaw, Mind Maps and graphic organizers. They will gain practical approaches to scaffold writing instruction, promote discussion and provide ample practice opportunities ensuring students develop strong writing skills that support their reading comprehension
