Seminar Objectives-Teachers will integrate content standards with the Computer Science and Digital Fluency Standards
-Teachers will learn strategies to foster inquiry
-Teachers will identify how to utilize technological resources to meet content and Computer Science and Digital Fluency Standards
Work Summary-Teachers will identify and articulate connections between computer science and digital fluency standards and ELA/Social Studies standards, highlighting areas of overlap and opportunities for interdisciplinary teaching.
-Teachers will apply the Stripling Model of Inquiry and the three levels of questioning to develop strategies that promote curiosity, critical thinking and student engagement in their classrooms.
-Teachers will evaluate and share technology resources that support the integration of computer science and digital fluency standards into their existing curriculum, enhancing student learning and meeting educational standards.
Assessment of Learning-Participants documented their learning in a Computer Science and Digital Fluency learning booklet in which they outlined overlap between their content standards and Computer Science and Digital Fluency standards as well as document action steps they plan to take to further their alignment.
Evaluation Summary Notes-Participants appreciated talking through Computer Science and Digital Fluency terminology.
-Participants appreciated the discussions on how to apply the standards to their contents.
-Participants appreciated the breakdown of the standards and time to digest them.
Needed Changes-Follow up sessions to dive deeper into the Computer Science and Digital Fluency Booklet.
