Seminar Broadcast NotesThis workshop is for certified librarians working in a school library or for those who are currently enrolled in a MLS program and working as a school librarian.
Seminar ObjectivesAs a result of this workshop, participants will:
- Understand MARC Basics: Librarians will be able to explain the purpose and structure of the MARC (Machine-Readable Cataloging) format.

- Identify MARC Fields and Tags: Participants will be able to identify key MARC fields and tags, such as those for titles, authors, publication information, and subject headings, and describe their functions.

- Basic MARC Records: Librarians will view basic MARC records for various types of materials (books, audiovisual materials, etc.).

- Edit and Modify MARC Records: Participants will learn how to edit existing MARC records within the two automation systems currently in our CoSer.
