Join us as we dive deep into the Danielson and/or NYSUT rubrics for teacher evaluation. Practice aligning and rating evidence against various components of the evaluation tools, and decipher the intent and purpose behind many of the evaluated elements. To support NEW administrators in the evaluation process, two meeting dates are provided, so as to address questions and continue our understanding of the practice of evaluating teachers.

This two-day training will focus on the requirements of the 3012-d regulation.

Work Summary-Participants reviewed and reflected on Lead Evaluator rubrics including Thoughtful Classroom NYSUT, and Danielson.
-Participants reflected on instructional classroom scenarios and aligned them to specific rubrics
Assessment of Learning-Participants identified best practices inn classroom instruction and watched a model lesson and utilized a rubric
-Participants completed a self-assessment prior to leaving workshop to identify goals and next steps
Evaluation Summary Notes-Participants are looking forward to day 2 training
-Participants felt like they understood the rubrics and the process for evaluating teachers better
