Seminar Short DescParticipants will experience selected lessons and activities in three kits and get to interact with the materials and online resources in addition to an overview of the new NYS Science Learning Standards, 3-dimensional learning, and use of the science lab notebook.
Seminar Full DescParticipants will experience selected lessons and activities in three kits and get to interact with the materials and online resources. The morning of the first day will include a walkthrough of the structure of a Lab-Aids kit and all of the resources available to teachers, an overview of the new NYS Science Learning Standards, 3-dimensional learning, and use of the science lab notebook, and discussion of the Intermediate level NYS Science Investigations. That afternoon participants will experience selected lessons from a kit of their choice. On the second day we will be working with selected lessons from two other kits. By the end of the two days, teachers will have a complete background of the Lab-Aids kits and experience with a total of three kits that they will be using in their classes.
