This CLC's aim is to build a network of professionals that continue to learn more, ask questions and find ways to improve literacy instruction through an interdisciplinary body of scientifically-based research.

Seminar Full DescAlthough the science of reading has recently become a popular term, the science referenced has been conducted over the last five decades across the world, and is derived from thousands of studies. This CLC's aim is to build a network of professionals that continue to learn more, ask questions and find ways to improve literacy instruction for all students through an interdisciplinary body of scientifically-based research. Join teachers from around the region as we meet four times this year to explore the Science of Reading and take a deep dive into Scarborough's Rope.

Specific topics throughout this CLC will include: Literacy Research, Scarborough's Rope, Simple View of Reading and Literacy Instruction.
