Seminar Full DescBlended and Personalized instruction explores models (Station Rotation, Individual Rotation, Flipped Classroom, and Flex options) of blended learning and the strategies resources, and tools that support each model. Participants will build off their personal experience and current classroom context to determine which models and strategies best fit their instructional needs, and are the most effective in meeting the personalized needs of their students.

Seminar AudienceThis workshop is designed for MS and HS content teachers looking to create a more diversified learning experience for their students.

Seminar Objectives-Participants will gain a deeper understanding of teen brain development and its impact on developing digital citizenship among school students
-Participants will apply digital citizenship skills to identify student opportunities for civic engagement
-Participants will design a research question using QFT to gain experience in leading students in QFT
-Students can use QFT to develop a project for civic engagement
-Participants will synthesis information to design instruction for their students
-Share Moodle overview
-Create/update Moodle courses
-Share Intelliboard overview
-Other work as needed by teacher request
Assessment of Learning-Participants were invited to ask questions, interacted with an online survey, shared ideas in small teams, developed research based on hypothetical statement, and designed a plan to use with students in the coming school year
-Since some participants were new to Moodle and others were veterans different assessments were used
-New users were able to log in and add a resource or activity to their course
-Veterans users were able to modify their course and explore Intelliboard
Seminar Topics-A PowerPoint on digital citizenship and civic engagement was presented
-Nearpod was used for an interactive exercise
-Question Formation Technique was used to model the generation of a research question
-Small teams shared ideas and designed a plan for introducing students to civic engagement project
-Stated the session with a general survey of teacher needs in Moodle
-Connected to the Intelliboard sales rep who gave a general description of what is available to teachers in the Intelliboard instance
-Then returned to addressing updates in Moodle and answering teacher questions
