Comments: -This is exactly what I have been missing in previous years. The timing was perfect. I remembered so much from listening to others and had the time to take notes for later. (Something I have always found difficult in the jam packed week.) Tim and Amy did a great job leading the discussions and focusing us. I think this should be replicated for every DIDI week. -The process of debriefing was so important after seeing so much (and I was only there for one day). -Great discussion. Tim is a great leader and an uplifting moderator. -I really enjoyed hearing from Xavier Smith about his experiences and learn about how beneficial he saw BOCES was in his career choice. He is very knowledgeable with the machines and technology used. -Great job. -Thank you for helping to coordinate this training. It is the best. It is well thought out to include things that give us a full circle experience. I especially enjoyed the time at BOCES to talk with coworkers about how to apply this. Thank you for the food also! The morning of hands on CNC machines helped me to understand what these machines really do. Xavier is really great at explaining the machines! -Great for bringing it all together and providing the faculty for our activity. -Awesome experience to do the hands on project. -Always nice to be at BOCES, will be able to have my pen holder on my desk and show students that I made it and they could too. -It was nice to have BOCES staff on the tours with us. They were great hosts and great post discussions. -I would love to tour the facility someday. I enjoyed creating the pencil holder! I also enjoyed being able to talk about my experience with others. -Great opportunity. -Thank you so much for hosting our group and giving us time to talk about what we learned from touring the manufacturing facilities. I learned a lot from my colleagues. -Thanks -It was nice to hear how others will be implementing things into their classrooms. -I liked that we had time to go back and debrief at BOCES. it was hard for us to talk to each other at the tour sites. I think the ideas brought up in our discussions help me make sense of what we saw and how I can relate it back to my classroom and my students. |
