This year's General County Music Meeting will provide opportunities for networking, discussion, and hands-on exploration of materials designed to support and strengthen music programs at all grade levels.
Workshop sessions will include:
Department updates and collaborative discussion during the General County Music Meeting
A featured presentation from QuaverEd highlighting innovative digital music learning tools and classroom resources
A CA BOCES presentation focused on the Portrait of a Graduate initiative and available instructional supports and resources
Curriculum and program discussions centered on instructional alignment, program growth, and student engagement
Reading sessions for Band and Chorus
This workshop is designed to encourage professional collaboration, inspire new instructional ideas, and provide practical resources that educators can immediately bring back to their classrooms and ensembles.

1. Strengthen instructional practice in music education by exploring updated curriculum resources, pedagogical strategies, and performance-based approaches for band, chorus, and general music settings.
2. Enhance repertoire selection and student performance outcomes through collaborative review and analysis of solo, band, and choral literature during reading and discussion sessions.
3. Increase awareness and effective use of instructional tools and initiatives by engaging with digital platforms, BOCES resources, and the Portrait of a Graduate framework to support student growth and program development.
