| Work Summary | I performed a shelf read (made sure books were shelved correctly) for all books in the elementary library. Younger students, especially will pull books from the shelves and then place them somewhere else. When searching fro a book using the OPAC correct shelving iis necessary to efficiently locate titles. Tabbie and I discussed her role and how to better market picture books. |
| Assessment of Learning | Tabbie Fitzpatrick, library aid, was appreciative of my help. Shelf reading took the entire day and she did not have time in her schedule to do this task. Tabbie was receptive of getting picture books circulating. 1. Collaborate with the art teacher for discussing artwork in picture books. 2. Collaborate with ms/hs teachers on how picture books and short read alouds can engage older students when teaching new concepts. 3. Discuss with students how pictures in picture books help help the story. 4. Utilize teachingbooks for author videos and activities. |
