Seminar Objectives-Participants will understand a basic overview of the Computer Science/Digital Fluency Standards (CS & DF)
-Enhanced understanding of grade-level expectations
-Integration of computer science and digital fluency standards
-Collaborative reflection and future planning
Work Summary-Teachers gained a clearn understanding of the appropriate expectations for inquiry and research activities at each grade lebel, K-12, as outlined in the CA BOCES resource booklet
-Participants learned how to integrate research and inquiry activities with the computer science and digital fluency standards
-The workshop provided an opportunity for teachers to reflect on past research and inquiry opportunities and discuss with colleagues
Assessment of Learning-Participants discussed overlaps between the activities in their einvironments and the computer science and digitial fluency standards
-Participants shared key take-a-ways from the time together
Evaluation Summary Notes-Participants appreciated the printed Inquiry Booklet provided during the session
-Participants enjoyed hearing connections between Research/Inquiry and the Computer Science and Digital Fluency Standards
-Participants appreciated time to begin planning with colleagues
Needed Changes-Participants were seeking additional time to plan and reflect
Next Steps-Participants will utitlize the printed booklet in planning upcoming research and inquiry opportunities for their students, using the resource to bolster collaboration across content areas.
