Workshop Full DescAny teacher, coordinator, or administrator that would like information about the NYS Science Required Investigations is encouraged to attend. The most up-to-date information will be shared as well as recommendations for implementation. The morning will be dedicated to diving into the 3-5 Investigations and the afternoon will be dedicated to diving into the 6-8 Investigations.

Workshop PrerequisitesIt would be helpful to have viewed the October 2022 NYSED memo (link in Brochure section) as well as the May 2022 NYSED memo (link included in October memo) regarding the Required Investigations.
Workshop ObjectivesParticipants will:
- review communicated information from the NYSED
- discuss recommendations for implementation of the Required Investigations in Grades 3-5
- look through the investigations and materials provided by NYSED
- analyze the scoring rubrics to be prepared for assessing students
Assessment of LearningParticipants will have the opportunity to ask questions during the session but will also be provided a method to ask questions ahead of time and after, in order to conserve time during the online session.
