Seminar Full Desc | School and district leaders will learn the very basics about the New York State P-12 Science Learning Standards (NYSSLS), including instructional shifts to expect in the science classroom, and an overview of how to use the standards document - highlighting the science skills and knowledge progressions that can enrich vertical alignment conversations. Brief guidance will be provided through the NYS Performance Level Descriptions, that can serve as an essential tool for conversations with teachers about supporting diverse learner needs in science. A suggested tool for two-way observation conversations will be shared, as well as other suggestions for support teachers. |
