Seminar Short DescScience teachers from grades 6-12 will collaborate to shift and develop science lessons and curriculum to align with the new NYS Science Learning Standards (NYSSLS). A working understanding of NYSSLS is useful in order to develop 3-dimensional science lessons.
Seminar Full DescScience teachers from grades 6-12 will collaborate to shift and develop science lessons and curriculum to align with the new NYS Science Learning Standards (NYSSLS). Each session will begin with a new learning piece based on participant expertise, needs, interests, and concerns. The remainder of the workshop will be allotted for teacher collaboration time. Participants will return to work together in a continuous cycle of collective expertise to develop 3-dimensional lessons to better serve their students.
