Seminar Short Desc-Experience first-hand the learning opportunities available to your students at the Belmont CTE Center so that you will be able to better help them make wise decisions about the next steps they need to take toward a career that will be satisfying and well-suited to their abilities and interests
Seminar Full Desc-As educators, we are tasked with working toward a variety of social and emotional learning goals with our students. Many of these goals center around helping students identify their strengths and abilities and use that information to make wise decisions about college and career. One of the major career-development resources available to our students is the CTE Center in Belmont, offering professional-level training leading to a wide variety of careers. This workshop will allow teachers, counselors, and school administrators to experience several CTE programs first-hand, learning some of the skills from current CTE students and seeing the style of career training available to upcoming students. With that knowledge in hand, educators will be better equipped to advise students
