Seminar Short DescTeachers will need to think about three-dimensional teaching dealing with SEPs (Science & Engineering Practices), CCCs (Crosscutting Concepts), and DCIs (Disciplinary Core Idea). We will explore the scope and sequence of the new science standards, learn how to read the new Performance Expectations, and work in groups to explore learning activities that represent good science practices. This session is geared toward participants that would like a introduction/basic understadning of NYSSLS.
Seminar Full DescThe New York State Science Learning Standards look a bit different from the current standards. Teachers will need to think about three-dimensional teaching dealing with SEPs (Science & Engineering Practices), CCCs (Cross-Cutting Concepts), and DCIs (Disciplinary Core Idea).
