Workshop Full DescGenius Hour implementations are sweeping the educational landscape, so come learn how to bring components or the entire program to your classroom. Genius Hour implementation allows for students to work through a research project on a topic of their choosing, usually something that they have a tremendous amount of prior knowledge on or something they are passionate about. We will share, discuss, and implement plans to roll out Genius Hour in your class, and provide a collaborative community to provide support and troubleshoot all year long through three different sessions.

Day 1: Intro to Genius Hour & Plans for Rolling Out (9/19/2018)
Day 2: Guiding Students With Purpose/Making Community Connections (1/9/2019)
Day 3: Increasing Motivation and Engagement (4/9/2019)

Workshop Objectives-Participants will learn about Genius Hour history and its use in school.
-Participants will discuss and share strategies for implementing Genius Hour.
-Participants will discuss and plan strategies that can be taken back and implemented into your classroom.
-Participants will learn how to successfully promote the event to have an audience with increased parental/family involvement.
