Assessment of Learning-Participants were assessed during the Poverty Simulation debrief by asking questions and providing feedback based on their experiences
-Participants also completed an evaluation at the end of the simulation in addition to a pre and post survey
Evaluation Summary NotesComments:
-Many participants commented on the simulation being an eye-opening experience and provided perspective for students who enter their classrooms daily
-Good way for people to realize that sometimes people in poverty are doing all that they can do
-Excellent insight on daily struggles that students endure
-Excellent very moving and emotional debrief exercise

Still need:
-More conversation on what we can do during the debrief with colleagues
-Identification of resources in each county that are available

Action plan:
-Put "the child first"
-Create a safe environment for all students
-Have a better understanding and more patience with parents and students
-More empathy for what many of them are dealing with on a daily basis
