| Seminar Full Desc | Participants will have collaborative conversations about curriculum, instruction, and assessment aligned to the Common Core Standards. All participants will walk away with instructional strategies in ELA and Math. Updates from the NYSED will be presented at the CLC. Ideas and strategies will be ready to use when they return to their district. |

-Helpful information in the NYS Next Generation Snapshot and Crosswalk documents -Participants explained that they felt comfortable with the K-2 NYS Next Generation Standards for Math -Changes were minimal for their grade level -Focus on play based activities -Opportunities for "Make & Takes" during next year's CLC events Still need: -Time to discuss all of the resources available through CA BOCES including kits, books, etc -Additional experience with STEM activity ideas -Social/Emotional focus for upcoming PK CLC's -Dramatic Play ideas with literacy and math ideas Action plans: -Utilize STEM activities in their classrooms that they received from the K-2 CLC -Incorporate more exploration in math activities -Add more STEM activities and review the NYS Next Generation Standards -Review materials available through SNAP accounts and Learning Resources -Implement STEM activities weekly |
