Seminar Short DescTeachers will learn about the contents of an Engineering is Elementary (EiE) Kit and the format each kit follows.
Seminar Full DescTeachers will explore the four lessons upon which each Engineering is Elementary (EiE) Kit is based. Lesson 1 introduces the engineering problem through a story. Lesson 2 provides background knowledge about the specific type of engineering involved. Lesson 3 allows students to explore the materials in scientific experiments that relate to the problem. Lesson 4 engages students in designing a solution using previous lessons to guide their decisions. Teachers will also learn about technology and engineering definitions that are important for students as well.
